HHS pledges $50M for autonomous vulnerability management solution for hospitals

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) has announced the Universal PatchinG and Remediation for Autonomous DEfense (UPGRADE) program to develop a healthcare IT vulnerability management platform. This comes as healthcare sector organizations face increasing threats from ransomware attacks. The UPGRADE aims to proactively evaluate risks, develop and test patches, and implement them with minimal disruption. Over $50 million is expected to be invested in the program.
