The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the US Department of Health and Human Services is investigating a cyberattack on Change Healthcare and parent company UnitedHealth Group to determine if protected health information was exposed. Change is one of the largest US insurance claims processing centers, dealing with one in three patient records. The attack, claimed by ransomware group AlphV, also known as Blackcat, has disrupted the healthcare sector for weeks.
