The GAO warns that previously identified loopholes in HHS cybersecurity have remained unaddressed amid rising threats to healthcare infrastructure. The report also highlights major past cyber attacks underlining the urgency of outstanding GAO cyber recommendations. Despite HHS’ initiatives to mitigate any potential risks, the GAO finds a lack of adequate implementation monitoring.
