HHS clarifies patient visitation rights

The Office of Civil Rights (OCR) from the US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has issued a directive urging healthcare providers to ensure visitation policies do not discriminate. The decision arose from various complaints during the Covid-19 pandemic. The OCR guidelines also answer 15 key questions to help healthcare providers meet their obligations.
