Healthcare organizations are prioritizing edge computing to support remote medical staff and improve patient care. Two notable use cases are hospital-at-home and autonomous mobile robots and drones. However, these devices are vulnerable to cyberattacks, highlighting the importance of addressing security vulnerabilities. Healthcare IT leaders should develop their edge computing profile, invest strategically, increase compliance capabilities, align resources, build resilience, and collaborate with trusted advisors.
