Healthcare still underprepared for scope of cyber threats, says Kroll report

Healthcare stands as the industry most likely to self-assess as having “very mature security,” yet is one of the most-breached sectors. This discrepancy is due to various factors such as being a top target for cybercriminals and unique factors of health systems’ approach to their own cybersecurity readiness. With increasing cyber threats via external remote services, there is a growing need for better end-point security. Despite awareness and spending on cybersecurity on the rise, there is a gap between the sector’s confidence in its security and its real-world capabilities.
