Healthcare software provider ESO Solutions has reported a major data breach impacting 2.7 million patients, following a ransomware attack in September. The attack enabled the extraction of sensitive personal data, including names, dates of birth, phone numbers, and social security numbers. Numerous US hospitals and clinics using ESO’s software were affected. The firm is providing 12 months of identity monitoring service coverage to mitigate the risk of data misuse.
