US health officials propose using a cheap antibiotic as a ‘morning-after pill’ against STDs

US health officials aim to greenlight an antibiotic, doxycycline, as a prevention measure for burgeoning sexually transmitted diseases among gay and bisexual men, as well as transgender women who are at high risk.
