The cybersecurity firm Sophos has found that 67% of healthcare firms have reported a ransomware attack over the past year, a four year high. The report reveals that just 22% of victims were able to recover within a week, a steep decline from 47% in 2023. Recovery costs rose to $2.57m on average in 2024, up from $2.2m the previous year.
