The US Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Sector Cybersecurity Coordination Center has warned the healthcare and public health (HPH) sector about the potential threats from NoEscape, a ransomware group believed to have originated from the defunct Avaddon group. NoEscape is known for its triple-extortion approach and has been targeting various sectors since May. Its ransomware encryptors have shown substantial similarity to Avaddon’s, suggesting that former Avaddon members are now part of NoEscape.
