HCA Healthcare and Google Cloud are exploring the use of generative AI to improve clinical workflows and reduce administrative burden. A pilot project gave 75 ER doctors access to Google’s AI technology to simplify documentation. The program also involved medical tech company Augmedix, with its app being used to create patient notes from conversations. HCA plans to expand the program to other hospitals and explore how generative AI can aid nurses, particularly with patient handover.
