The Clop ransomware gang is employing new tactics to target the healthcare sector. They are infecting files and disguising them as medical documents to trick healthcare facilities into opening them. The group is specifically targeting medical conditions that can be easily diagnosed remotely through telehealth. The ransomware gang also uses phishing emails to gain entry and has resistance to anti-analysis virtual-machine analysis.
