HalliburtonOptimistic Amid $35M Data Breach Loss

Halliburton has reported that a ransomware attack it experienced in August resulted in losses of $35 million. The company discovered unauthorized access to its systems on August 21st and immediately launched an investigation. Some systems were forced to shut down, and the cybersecurity breach led to a loss of data. The RansomHub ransomware gang was identified as being behind the attack, but it’s still unclear what data was stolen.
