Hacking still healthcare’s top threat, but insider threats often go unnoticed

Healthcare is still struggling with hacking and insider threats, according to a report by Protenus. The report found that there has been an average of one breach a day this year, with 33 breaches in August alone. Hacking was responsible for 54.5% of breaches, compared to 27.3% caused by insiders. The report also highlighted the average number of days it took organizations to discover a breach, which was 138 days.
