Hackers swipe Anthem data in massive cyberattack

Anthem, one of the largest health insurance providers in the US, has suffered a major data breach, potentially affecting 80 million of its customers. The breach was detected last week and hackers gained unauthorised access to personal data including Social Security numbers, medical ID numbers, income data, names, addresses and dates of birth. Anthem has notified the FBI and is conducting an extensive investigation. No credit card or medical data is believed to have been stolen.
