Hackers stole raw genotype data, health reports

23andMe confirmed that hackers stole health reports and raw genotype data of customers in a cyber attack that occurred from April 29 to September 27. The hackers used details from prior breaches on other platforms to access the accounts. The leaked data, which was posted on hacking forums, includes information for 1 million Ashkenazi Jews and 4.1 million UK residents. Post the breach, 23andMe has made it mandatory for customers to use two-factor authentication.
