These counterfeit websites mimic the Google Chrome installation page on the Google Play Store and use the malware to perform comprehensive surveillance, steal data, and achieve complete remote control of infected devices. Once installed, the SpyNote malware can access sensitive information, activate device cameras and microphones, manipulate calls, execute commands, and log keystrokes.
