Hackers Hit Android Users’ Bank Accounts As New Malware Becomes ‘Global Threat’: Report

The fraud prevention company ThreatFabric has raised concerns about a new banking malware called Crocodilus which targets mobile banking apps and cryptocurrency wallets. It found the malware in March and has noted its ability to infiltrate user contact lists and extend its reach to new regions. To protect from threats like Crocodilus, financial institutions are advised to use layered security measures.
