Cybercriminals have identified a method to infiltrate people’s Google accounts without requiring their passwords – even bypassing two-factor authentication. The report by cybersecurity firm CloudSEK reveals hackers can access users’ private data via third-party cookies. Notably, this access remains even after a password reset. Google is upgrading its defences against such techniques and advises users to enable Enhanced Safe Browsing in Chrome.
