A High Court judge has ordered Russian cyber gang Qilin, who caused over 10,000 NHS appointments to be cancelled by hacking pathology services provider Synnovis, to reveal their identities and delete or return stolen data. The hackers obtained private medical data from over 100,000 patients, leading to a warning over the NHS’s outdated IT system. The judgement aims to prevent further unauthorised access and additional cyber attacks.
