Russian cyber gang Qilin targeted pathology services provider Synnovis, gaining access to the medical and blood test data of over 100,000 patients. In response to the ransomware attack, Mrs Justice Stacey granted an interim injunction against the hackers to prevent further data being released and ordered them to disclose their identities. Parts of the information had already been shared via the Telegram platform and a website, leading to concerns about more disclosures.
