SuperCard X, a malware-as-a-service platform, is making it easier for cyber criminals to impersonate victims and make in-store or ATM transactions. Discovered by mobile security firm Cleafy, the platform targets Android phones using NFC relay attacks. The malware is spread by convincing users to install an app called Reader, disguised as a security tool. Once installed, it enables hackers to access card details and initiate small transactions that can avoid detection. Despite currently only being used in Italy, experts warn the platform could expand globally.
