Phishing attacks now account for 46% of all cyber incidents from August to October, as reported by customers of security vendor, ReliaQuest. The company highlighted that the lack of employee training in detecting suspicious emails and high staff turnover contribute to this problem. It also noted a rise in the exploitation of remote service solutions such as remote desktop protocol (RDP) or VPN services. A decrease was detected in LockBit ransomware activity, which is linked to increased police action.
