Cybersecurity firm Orange CyberDefense has identified a threat group called Green Nailao, which targeted European health organisations from June to October. The group deployed a ransomware payload using a critical vulnerability in Check Point Security gateways. The researchers stated they have medium confidence that this was enabled by the exploitation of CVE-2024-24919. The campaign also targeted other sectors globally, using the ShadowPad malware. The group is believed to align with other Chinese intrusion sets.
