Cornish GP practices have been included in NHS England’s OPEL framework. The local LMC is hoping this will highlight pressure on general practice. The system is used by hospitals to report when they are under strain and has now been adopted by Cornwall and Isles of Scilly ICB for GPs. The OPEL status will be featured on the NHS England ‘dashboard of data’.
