The UK Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee (SITC) has initiated an inquiry into the cyber resilience of the UK’s critical national infrastructure (CNI). The move comes as the UK ranks third globally for cyber attacks. The SITC is seeking evidence from the security industry, particularly relating to the communications, energy, government and financial services sectors. The inquiry will assess current strategies, government relationships with CNI operators and potential future interventions needed to meet 2025 resilience targets.
