Congressional Republicans are planning to file a bill that will aim to strengthen security requirements and require prompt notification in the event of a breach involving personal information on the HealthCare.gov website. The bill is being planned to be filed in early 2014. Currently, the Obama administration has the authority to decide whether a risk of harm exists and whether individuals need to be notified.
