The Gootloader malware is using blackhat SEO techniques to infect users, with the infection process beginning on compromised WordPress sites and culminating in the delivery of harmful payloads. This malware manipulates search engine results to rank compromised sites near the top. Users interact with these sites by clicking on a download link disguised as a document, unintentionally downloading a malicious JavaScript file.
