Google is improving its Play Protect security system for Android devices with real-time scanning features designed to combat malware apps employing polymorphism. It’s hoped this will lead to a significant decrease in malware infections. While currently available in some countries, this more comprehensive service will roll out globally over time. The feature will also work for APKs downloaded from sources outside the Play Store.
