Google has launched MedGemma, an AI program aimed at assisting developers in healthcare applications. Coming in two versions, the 4B multimodal model is used for medical image analysis, while the text-only 27B version aids apps requiring medical knowledge. Companies such as Viz.ai, Aidoc and Lunit are currently using similar AI for medical imaging.
