Google has added ‘Scam Detection’ and ‘Google Play Protect’ features to its Pixel 6 and subsequent Pixel devices to enhance security. ‘Scam Detection’ uses on-device AI to detect scam calls based on conversation patterns, while ‘Google Play Protect’ provides live threat detection to identify hazardous apps and malware. Google ensures no conversation or transcription is saved, as all processing happens on-device.
