Google Cloud Resolves Privilege Escalation Flaw Impacting Kubernetes Service

Google Cloud has fixed a moderate security bug in its platform which could have let an attacker with access to a Kubernetes cluster raise their privileges. The security flaw was found and reported by Palo Alto Networks Unit 42. No evidence has been found of the issue being exploited. Google has now removed Fluent Bit’s access to service account tokens and deleted excessive permissions from Anthos Service Mesh.
