IBM’s study reveals a 10% increase in the average cost of a data breach, skyrocketing it to $4.88 million in 2024. The research further reported that 70% of breached companies experienced significant disruption, with recovery taking up to 100 days for smaller firms. Quarter of the companies were understaffed and incurred $1.76 million more in breach costs. Using AI and automation saved organizations an average of $2.2 million.
