Global Campaign Targets PlugX Malware with Innovative Portal

International authorities, led by the Sekoia Threat Detection & Research team, have successfully executed a malware disinfection campaign targeting the PlugX worm. The operation cleaned compromised systems across multiple countries using two proposed methods. A dedicated disinfection portal was also developed to streamline work. The campaign highlighted the critical role of law enforcement and judicial authorities in maintaining legal compliance, setting a precedent for future disinfection efforts.
