The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health has selected seven genomic data initiatives as new Driver Projects for 2019. These projects will work together to develop standards for sharing genomic and health data. The projects were chosen based on global representation, scientific merit, and their capacity to contribute resources. The alliance aims to boost precision medicine and enable the responsible sharing of genomic data. As part of their five-year plan, the alliance will expand their work with ELIXIR to build capacity in cloud computing and authentication capabilities.
