Genetic Data On 500,000 Volunteers In UK To Be Released For Scientific Study

Health researchers worldwide can now access the genome data of half a million people enrolled in UK Biobank, the largest number of whole-genome sequences released for medical research. This can help calculate individual risk scores for many diseases and gain insights about serious genetic conditions. Access requires approval and use of a protected database stripped of personal identifiers.
