Gallagher settles cyber breach suit for $21 million

A US federal court has preliminarily approved a $21m settlement in a class-action case against Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. concerning a 2020 cyber breach. Nearly 3.5 million members will be reimbursed up to $6000 for monetary losses and provided three years of identity theft protection and credit monitoring. The corporation is also expected to enhance its data security procedures.
