Free Decryptor Released for Black Basta Ransomware

The Black Basta ransomware group, responsible for at least $107 million in Bitcoin ransoms since 2022, has a vulnerability in its encryption algorithm. This flaw has allowed researchers to create a free decryptor tool, particularly beneficial for recovering larger files. If the plaintext of 64 encrypted bytes is known, data recovery is possible, but small files under 5000 bytes cannot be restored.
