A ransomware attack in January on Frederick Health, a major Maryland healthcare provider, led to a data breach affecting around one million patients, at a time when cyberattacks on health systems are escalating. The stolen data included sensitive personal and medical information of the patients. The case was reported to the US Department of Health and Human Services without revealing the total number. No ransomware group has yet claimed responsibility.
