The Florida House of Representatives’ Commerce Committee has passed on the Cybersecurity Incident Liability Act to the State Administration and Technology Appropriations Subcommittee. The law proposed provision of safe harbor to agencies and entities that handle personal information and comply substantially with a cyber protection framework. These entities, which include corporations, cooperatives and partnerships among others, can implement any acceptable cybersecurity standards under the proposed law.
