Finding Clinical Informaticists, Part 2: “The Change Recipe”

Dirk Stanley, MD, CMIO at UConn Health, has detailed the clear, highly detailed, and highly-coordinated roles played by different stakeholders in clinical change management. Roles defined in this context include the applied clinical informaticist, who plays a direct responsibility in project scoping and prioritisation, resource allocation, workflow (blueprint) drafting, and final approval, and the clinical IT analyst, who analyses and scopes changes before assuming primary responsibility for building and testing electronic deliverables.
