Fidelity Investments has revealed the personal data of 77,099 of its Maine customers were exposed in a breach between August 17 and 19, with the threat actor creating two new customer accounts. Although the means of access has yet to be disclosed, the hacker did not access funds, however names, social security numbers and driver’s licenses were obtained. The company has notified the affected customers and has offered credit monitoring and identity restoration services.
