Feds warn of flaws in Siemens molecular imaging systems

Siemens is working on patches for its molecular imaging products after vulnerabilities were found by the US Department of Homeland Security’s ICS-CERT team. The flaws are highly critical, can be publicly exploited, and have a Common Vulnerability Scoring System rank of 9.8 out of 10. It is advised not to connect the devices to the network until Siemens delivers patches and healthcare organizations are urged to use secure methods such as VPNs when remote access is required.
