Federal authorities have warned the healthcare and public health sector about NoEscape, a new ransomware group thought to be a successor to the defunct Avaddon gang. NoEscape has targeted numerous industries with multi-extortion attacks since May 2023. The group has launched attacks on private healthcare and public health organizations, and their extortion demands range from hundreds of thousands of dollars to over $10 million. The NoEscape operators prohibit attacks on ex-Soviet Union republics.
