Feds issue Snatch ransomware warning as gang claims latest victim

The FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) have issued a warning about the activities of ransomware gang Snatch. The gang extorts victims through double extortion and has targeted a wide range of entities in the food, agriculture, IT, and defense sectors. The gang spends up to three months on their victims’ systems before deploying ransomware, often leveraging compromised credentials from the dark web. Notable victims include the City of Modesto, Tampa General Hospital, and the Canadian Nurses Association.
