Federal judge temporarily pauses RFK Jr. effort to rescind billions of public health funds

A federal judge in Rhode Island has granted a temporary restraining order, preventing the Trump administration from withdrawing over $11 billion in public health funding from health departments in 23 states and Washington DC. The lawsuit lodged against the Department of Health and Human Services argues that the federal government does not have the right to rescind already allocated funds.
