The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has created a Digital Health Advisory Committee to assist with the complexities of digital health technologies. The committee will offer expertise to improve the FDA’s grasp of the benefits, risks and clinical results from using technologies such as AI, digital therapeutics and wearables. The committee, expected to be fully operational by 2024, will also ensure that digital medical devices are suitable for varied populations.
