Medical device firm Withings has received US FDA clearance to release its BPM Pro 2 cellular blood pressure monitor. The device allows users to answer contextual questions set by doctors to improve medication compliance, collected along with symptom information to provide a more comprehensive picture of the patient’s health. The monitor can detect anomalies and send follow-up reminders, as well as reminding users to schedule doctors’ appointments.

Two more people – including a 17-year-old boy – have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following a collision in Barnsley.
