Fake Google Meet conference errors push infostealing malware

A new ClickFix campaign is using fraudulent Google Meet conference pages to lure users, showing bogus connectivity error messages that deliver info-stealing malware for Windows and macOS systems. First reported by Proofpoint, ClickFix manipulates victims to run scripts that infect their computers with various malware. McAfee has highlighted an increase in ClickFix campaigns, particularly in the US and Japan.
