Hertz Corporation has revealed that some Australian customers’ personal data has been compromised following a global data breach in December. The breach was caused by a third-party incident affecting file-sharing platform Cleo, which was compromised by cyber extortion group Clop. Data compromised included names, contact information, date of birth, driver’s licenses, and payment card information. A small number of individuals may also have had their passport information affected.
